Sonique got together in 2005, it has played since then in different clubs in Bogota. It counts with experimented musicians such as Hernando Forero, on guitar, Diego Gomez, on keyboards and sequences and Martin Zambrano on bass. This year the band is preparing their work: "The Orlando Virtuoso Sessions" made up of 12 tracks of original material, with an electronic sound, based on the concept of concrete music from the 50s and 60s, modifying prerecorded sounds through electronic filters and combining it with the performance of live instruments, typical from a rock band, all of it applied to contemporary electronic genres such as House, Electro and Drum and Bass. Soniques live performance is complemented by the a video installation taken care by Diana Tovar. The visual aspect of the live performance is developed under the same parameteres as the music: prerecorded images are modified on real time by electronic filters, combining it with some analog effects. Video is treated like an instrument, and the music is treated visually.
