In summer 2004 Slimboy recorded their punk-influenced No Fires on Beach album in Los Angeles what meant a new beginning for the band.
Due to astonishing feedbacks by the audience during a 50-shows-tour in spring 2005 they soon started the preproduction for the next album.
Producing themselves and engineered/mixed by Clemens Matznick (Donots, Guano Apes) the recordings took place in Berlin (Germany) during fall 2005. A perfect solution, because Matznick let the band all the independence they need.
Anthems was released in January 2006 in Switzerland and was promoted by a following tour presented by ETNIES. In summer 2006 releases in Japan, Germany and Austria followed, so that Slimboy are gonna play 30 shows more in Europe. Japan and North America should be promoted with a tour in spring 2007...
