"'Is there a greater purpose behind existence?' 'How does a man bring himself to justify murder?' 'What does it feel like to connect with a greater power, on a personal level?' All these questions and more are artfully addressed in the seven short tracks of Sleep Serapis Sleep's epic EP, 'Dead Man Walking'.

Now a year old release, the album served as an explosive debut for the aspiring metalcore band. They have since been writing and touring painstakingly, poising themselves for their next release. It is a unique breed of aggressive music, which merges raw thrash-brutality and carefully crafted melody, then quite literally screams out against the many social injustices of modern society.

Together, Sleep Serapis Sleep's members are a self-sustaining entity that has recorded, booked and promoted itself, almost relentlessly, to an unsuspecting local metal scene. Its success is not derived from a major label or promotion company. Rather, it is the result of the utterly crushing force of their performance, and the intricate, but compelling message of compassion imbedded in their lyrics.

Touring independently or with other underground metal outfits, the band hasn't discriminated while mercilessly taking audiences all over the United States by the throat. With so much already behind them, Sleep Serapis Sleep can hardly comprehend what is to come. But whatever their role may be, they anxiously await a future in which humanity sets aside its differences and connects in peace. Simply put, Sleep Serapis Sleep refuses to fail.
