New music from SKEETO's much anticipated debut album 'The Best Infatuation' is now up. The album was recorded in Hoboken, NJ at Water Music (Hawthorne Heights, Taking Back Sunday, Sonic Youth, The Ataris). It was produced by Rob Grenoble (Dismemberment Plan) & mixed by Michael Barbiero (Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Thrice). These are just rough mixes of what will be released by INFIDEL Records. When the subject of SKEETO comes up, the first thing people talk about is Kenny Ramirezs voice. It is the voice of innocence. He sings with pure emotion so raw and real that you cant hide from it.

As Ramirez starts to trace the dark undertones of SKEETOs songs, that beauty changes into a story of abandonment, broken homes and childhood experiences. They paint the world in disturbing fragments violent, darkly impulsive, bluntly honest. Extended musical preludes and grandiose overture-like sections are written around Ramirezs voice. They seem to have borrowed as much from Tchaikovsky as the Ramones. Music critics compare them to the Who and Queen, although its unlikely their fans listen to either.

The band grew from a unique collaboration of Russian guitarist Vlad Ukhmylenko and Ramirez. This fireball guitarist equals Peter Townsend with his intensity and energy. His signature style is instantly recognizable. Together he and Ramirez wrote amazing songs. They added a world-class bassist in 2005.

Superstar mixer Michael Barbiero (Guns N Roses, Metallica, John Lennon & Yoko Ono) saw them at an all-ages show in New Jersey and offered to mix the CD when it was completed. Rob Grenoble (Antigone Rising, Dismemberment Plan, Chris Stamey) and the members of SKEETO camped out in Water Music, Hoboken NJs North Room to record. They cut the tracks as live as possible. The result is the new CD undoctored, raw and honest.
