SKAFIELD. These german skapunks are around since 1997 and are now prodly presenting their new album "Smiling at the tragedy" which was released on the sweiss label Leech Records. Skafield already put out two records: Their debut CD "Fasten your seat-belts" (2001, Leech Records) and the 7" vinyl single "Interdependence day" (2002, Fond of life / Leech Records). The new album contains 13 songs which cover the field of Ska, Punkrock and Hardcore and carries songs for everyone: The slow Reggea-song, the midtempo-song you can dance to and the harder Punk and Hardcore tunes. Skafield are no longer an insider's tip and have a growing fanbase across Germany and Switzerland. These guys always managed it to make people dance...everywhere they showed up.With their new album "Smiling at the tragedy" they continue their first outputs' succes - always great reviews, great Skapunk tunes and lots of fun...they even rock harder now! The band had to chance to prove their variety on many clubgigs and Festivals with bands like Less Than Jake (USA), Anti Flag (USA), Reel Big Fish (USA), Beatsteaks (D), Rantanplan (D), Link80 (USA), Randy (SWE), The Turbo A.C.'s (USA), Mustard Plug (USA), Randy (SWE), The Turbo A.C.'s (USA), The Toasters (USA), .
