Situational Irony is a group from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. It consists of Nicolas Frenette (Vocals, Harmonica, Piano and Effects) and Brennen Walsh (Vocals, Effects, Acoustic and Electric Guitars). We made our first album "Double Reality" in January, 2007. It is a story/concept album in which an unnamed male character dies in a car accident and wakes up in a different body.
Soon we will have a website (hopefully) but for now all we have is this purevolume page and a myspace (http://www.myspace.com/situationalirony). I hope you enjoy our music (if you enjoy it enough and live in the area maybe you'll come to see us play)!

We had a blast at our show at Bellevue Park. I hope everyone who went enjoyed it! Brennen Walsh is going to being playing a show on July 2nd at Eargasm Records (opening for Sunday Night Cruise). Everyone go!!!

So we wanted to play at the Steamy Bean but they're more into easy listening and covers, which we can do but we would rather just be ourselves. So we talked to our good friends from the band Brain Tuel and they advised us to talk to Al. Al is opening up a coffee shop/music store and we will be playing there this summer.

My friend and I have to finalize a few things about our CD, and then finally after much delay...we will release it! Also, we have integrated our drummer from our other band, and we will begin to practice our songs so we can play them for a few cofee shops and bar. And hopefully make a bit of profit from that.

Hello World,
This is Nicolas Frenette, I very much hope that who ever stumbles upon our profile enjoys our songs. For they are very creative and sometimes catchy! We only put up a few songs not the give the story away.
But the story is roughly, a bunch of friends go "Joyridin'" untill they have a collision with a car. Then he goes to the hospital and dies. Our main characters wakes up in a different body, in a different life , with a different name.
But no one will ever know the end...
Unless!!! We have a minimum of 10 fans & people leave comments about how they want to know the end. Only then would we expose our album completely.
