Coming from different countries in the Southern American continent, the quintet of Sin Recursos ( Also known as SR ) was first formed as a spanish rock n' roll project from Charlotte, NC. The band officialy started in summer of 2005 when drummer Jorge Rojas and Lead Singer/Guitarist Alejandro Castao collaborated in a series of upbeat pop-punk songs while recruiting metal influenced Guitarist Diego Garzon into play. Five months after the band was fromed, SR released its first 5-track Demo under their own productioin in search of a fan-base. Queen City, being the home of many great local talent gave the chance to these guys who with little live show experience became better as time went on. With many line-up changes, SR welcomed current bassist Alex Castaeda in winter of 06 and finished the search of "their" own style. Facing a more mature lyrical, and musical look, the last piece of the SR puzzle was added in may of last year by Guitarist Aldo Carrillo. Having shared the stage with bands such as Enanitos Verdes, Molotov, Los Amigos Invisible, Bakalao Stars, the SR crew have set aside from shows, to write new material and make plans of releasing their first full-lenght by summer of this year.
Being the masters of the Spanish sing-alongs, Sin Recursos mixes hard-pounding guitars, and insane solos into their up-beat romantic ballads. Even though they started as a spanish rock band, these guys have managed to reach the American crowd just as well as their spanish followers. With an intense live show these guys will have you out off your seat with every track they play.
