Members: Mohammad Adhim Alibaba A.K.A. ADiM
Originally known as The Bulletcast Members, Sillhoutte unofficially was formed in 2003, by Mohammad Adhim Alibaba as the frontman. Based in Kuching City, Borneo Island of Malaysia, Sillhoutte are one of the Kuching Indie Rebels Music Community.
In the early, it consisted of 3 young boys, Adhim in the vocal position, Ethelbert Drostan as the guitarist and Kerol as the bassist. The idea was to form a Brit Pop sound band. Influenced by Suede, Longpigs, Pulp, The Lightning Seeds, EMF, New Order, and off course The Stone Roses. The band was guided by their brothers, Zaid A.K.A. Badol (ex-Nerd) and Debt (ex-Nerd) of Zoo.
The band take a break for a while as Adhim further his studies in UiTM. After many years didnt produce any material, Ethelbert choose to play for his own band, Zoo and Kerol make decision to leave. Adhim carry on the band name as a soloist and decided to produced his own songs by himself. The materials that was produced are the mixes of the ideas, the cultures, the stories of lifetime and his appreciation of Borneo; the homeland. Using synthesizers as the basic sound, blends with exotic and house beats, plus annoying helium breath, echo ambient vocals and inspired by the movies sound, hence at the end of 2006, Sillhoutte comes with 1st ever L.P. entitled For Saints, Sinners and You contain 8 tracks.
After struggling searching for the label, at last it been grab by A Glorious Day Records in January 2007. Due to the joining, Sillhoutte re-released the L.P. by adding 3 more tracks, CMS, Viewers Angle and 1 bonus track, a tribute to Kuching Indie Rebel scene, Sci-Fi Sour Symphony. The single, Saints & Sinners appears in Indie For Glory Compilation Volume 1.
In June 2007, Adhim add on new bandmates, which was his own best friends, Zamry Jaafar ( ex-The Rudeboy) in bass position and Edwin Jang (Paradoxically Opinion) in lead guitar position. But when Sillhoutte moved to Peninsular Malaysia, Adhim and Zamry Jaafar stand on their own without Edwin, for awhile. They pickup miss Elly from the band of From Cadillac to Geisha as the backup singer and the 2nd guitar, and Amir Zaki, their old mate as the Bassist , while Zamry himself replace Edwin Jang as the lead guitarist. Adhim still in the same position. Due to the changed of lineup, the sound of Sillhoutte also changed, into mellow pop tunes.
Sillhoutte are now working on for a new materials for their second E.P. and will be release this upcoming August 2007.,entitled Poppaganda, with their single, Plastic Love.
