Silence Is Broken first convened after several musicians from the Rockford, Illinois scene grew despondent with their then-current musical projects, and decided to join forces to try and create an original band with a shared devotion of time and effort to the music they create and the musicians they share the stage with. This band is a band of equals; five musicians who are all driven by their desire to succeed by crafting material that is as accessible as it is musically impressive. Coming from diverse backgrounds and influences, the band creates a unique sound with inspiration ranging from the heaviest indie-rock all the way to blistering metalcore. Thanks to a varied range of sounds, and also in part to the revered reputations of the musicians involved, the buzz has already begun and is steadily increasing about this new band based out of Roscoe, Illinois.
