Connecticut pop-rockers formed around friends, Joe Heafy (lead vocals), Bill Laudenslager (bass/vocals), Pat Kish (lead guitar/vocals) and Mike Kytoski (drums) under the influences of bands like Midtown and Saves The Day. The guys had been playing together for only a few months before welcoming guitar player Paul LaBosky to the fray in the fall of 2008.
Wasting no time the guys hit the studio and cut their first EP, Donât Act Like Youâre Not Impressed. The 8-song record represents a compilation of ideas and emotions that range from devotion, inspiration and optimism.
In an over saturated online market where myspace accounts pop up by the second, the guys knew what they had to do to stand out from the packâ¦tour!
Heading out on regional tours all over the Northeast and East Coast the guys were able to play more than 70 shows in a short span of four months. All of which were self booked and self promoted.
âIn 1996 Goldfinger set the Guiness world record for the most shows played in a year with 385,â said Singer Joe Heafy. âWe want to do all we can to break that record and hopefully leave our imprint in those who want to listen.â
2009 has seen no show of slowing down for the guys who plan on touring relentlessly throughout the year in support of their self-released EP.
Be on the lookout for the band and be sure to pick up a copy of their EP, Donât Act Like Youâre Not Impressed on itunes, amazon and smartpunk.
