Good morning/afternoon/apocalypse! (delete as appropriate)
Take a seat, please. Would you like a cup of tea? Some biscuits? Perhaps some assorted nuts? No? Alright then, I'll get straight to the point.
We are from Aberdeenshire (Sunny Aberdeenshire, as it is often known), which is in Northeast Scotland. We formed sometime in the beginning of October 2005. Jack and Michael having previously been involved in a small musical project called "London Zoo". However, that's in the murky painful past, it's best not to talk to them about that. Soon after, they asked Alex if he wanted to be in a band, and Alex, eager to make friends, accepted instantly, and has been playing music with them since. Michael plays guitar, Jack plays bass guitar, and Alex plays drums. Ian joined late in 2006 playing rhythm guitar after splitting from his former group "The Fine Game Of Nil". This quartet of mavericks then decided on the much classier title, Shindogo. Please pronounce it properly. Shin-do-go.
Recently, we broke our vows of silence, left our brotherhood of monks, and spoke for the first time (Jack still has problems with some words). Consequently, we also discovered that we can sing, which was a lucky coincidence, being that we are in a band. We have since written 3 songs, called Comfort in Trees, and Blue Skies, Go and have a listen in the downloads section. All in all, singing has been a success, considering the small time in which we've been writing lyrics.
Our influences are too long to list, but the head of our Maths dept. heard us once, and said we sounded bit like Cream, or early pink Floyd. Maybe that's partly true, but we can (and will) do some heavier, more rockin' stuff as well. Judge for yourself
Look out world, you're about to be slapped in the metaphorical face with a Shindogo!
