Growing up during OC's punk revival Daniel Morones, the creator of She's My Mistress aspired to be a part of the next great punk band with his band Nonsense. After playing and touring with such acts as Sublime, No Doubt, The Voodoo Glow Skulls, Face to Face, and countless others, Daniel realized that punk rock was no longer his calling and received a scholarship to attend prestigious Chapman University's Music Department to study classical guitar and composition. Studying classic guitarists in class such as Andre Segovia and Fernando Sor, Daniel also had a love for jazz and blues studying outside of the lecture halls legendary guitarists such as Django Reinhardt, Wes Montgomery and his favorite bluesman, the enigmatic Robert Johnson.

After college, Daniel worked in the world of mortgages during the booming real estate years of the 2000's however songwriting never left his side nor the desire to record and perform music live. "Songwriting has always been a tremendous passion and part of my life, ever since I was a teenager slamming out power chords. The craft of putting words to music has always intrigued me. It's the cathartic beauty of singing what's in your heart that keeps me coming back."

So Daniel created She's My Mistress a name inspired from the memoir by Duke Ellington entitled 'Music Is My Mistress'. The debut album 'Love Songs & Epilogues of the Courageous & Cowardly' is a full length concept album that hearkens to the days of vinyl with the first half of the album being acoustic and vocal driven and the second half more edgier and electric guitar driven. The songwriting is strong and diverse with lyrics that are intelligent but not ostentatious, leaving plenty of room for heart and sincerity.
