Hi there, I'm Kevin from Shelf-Life. We're from White Sulphur Springs WV, a small town in the eastern part of the state. We're about the only band around our area that plays aggressive rock. Our influences consist of; Cold, Staind, Pearl Jam, Tool, Chevelle, and many others in between. We've been together for about 8 months collectively. We all have been in bands for quite a while however.
Shelf-Life started out with two guys, myself and another guitarist named Charlie. We started out as a two person acoustic band called Mindset. We started getting a little more aggressive after we added a drummer and a bass player, but still held on to our acoustic roots. Our drummer decided to move back to Utah, so there we were right back where we started from. One day we were hanging out at High Mountain Music in Covington Va, and our drummer Jeremy happened to walk in. We asked him if he was interested. He said no, then we knocked him in the head and he woke up our new drummer. Charlie (lead guitarist at the time) left, so we changed our name to Shelf-Life. We got a lot more aggressive with our music after that, however trying to stay true to our acoustic roots. So here we are today. Hope all of you that check us out enjoy and we encourage any of you that are in our area to come see us at one of our shows.
