Sharifah's newest release; "Uncovered", is a unique blend of r&b and techno with intensely danceable tracks all the way through the 13 song on the cd. She is her own category; call it pop/rock/tech/r&b. Who can deny any song with the lyric of "I'm a Bad Mama Jama"! There are strangely wonderful samples along the way through from baby crys to water drips, and various other clips. The best tracks are the slowest, for example, Tomorrow; where it's a powerful cinematic ballad full of calling-card potential.
