shantelle started as a formal band in early 2003, just eric,julio and a past keybordist(now out) luis estrada. they spent a year making music and then gabriel join them and they started playing live in febraury 2004.they make pop music(in all ways) taking inspiration from spanish pop,brit pop,80's noise pop and downtempo. they stand as one of the most outstanding new bands from tijuana like ibi ego,mae machino and niña camara.
