Shade Tree started in 2001 under the name Shade Tree Mechanics. From the start their cutting edge rock sound formed a fan base among youth and adults in Central Illinois.

Playing at numerous Festivals, youth events have increased their popularity among those of all ages. "Shade Tree has certainly made its mark on central Illinois" says Nick Vogel from the Times.
