'Sevem Mi Lord' means 'Save Me Lord', an expression that characterises our desire to praise the One who saves us. Sevem Mi Lord came together in late 2006 to lead both young and old in the praising of our Almighty God, particularly in our hometown of Central West NSW.
The band enjoys a guitar-driven rock sound, playing big anthems of praise as well as quiet worship songs, all with the hope of encouraging people into a deeper relationship with our God.
Since their beginnings the band has played dozens of churches and youth groups from Bathurst to Wollongong, Chatswood to Goulburn, Penrith to Kogarah, and even as far as South Australia. The band has also played at a number of festivals including Silos Festival 07 and the Big Exo Day 2007 where they enjoyed success as winners of the Debut Stage. Recently the band played at the Hillsong Convention Centre for Youth Aliveâs Groundswell and also at Hillsong Conference 2008, and are looking forward to upcoming gigs with Blackstump Music Festival, City to Surf and the Big Exo Day 2008.
The group began by writing songs as well as covering popular praise and worship favourites and it wasnât long before they were given the great privilege of leading churches and youth groups regularly in the praise of our God.
