SEREPHINA (ON)

After years of experience, long time friends Adam Somerville, Jordy Lewis, and Curtis Wallace came together to begin the band Day After Yesterday.
After some pretty amazing shows, and what appeared to be an immeniant begining to a longstanding band, their lead singer decided to part ways with them for educational reasons; thus leaving the aformentioned three, along with their bassist to carry on the potential that so many saw in them.
This would serve to be a much more difficult task then the boys originally intended, and after countless months of searching for a new front man, and subsequently loosing their bassist to previous commitments, it was time to put Day After Yesterday on a backburner; and none of the boys could see when it would be reborn.
Around the same time, Anthony Mlekuz, was playing bass in countless local bands, yet still yearned for the exact sound, which he had not yet come across. Down Highway eight, a young Julian Vassil, was singing for the Calidonia Band "Six Gun", he too longed for more in music.
Once september came around, both Vassil and Mlekuz became fast friends at school. Through another friend's suggestion, Mlekuz heard that a local band was in search of a new bassist; upon contacting the boys, he was given an audition and the four of them bonded immediatly...but where does Vasil enter into the picture?
Upon further talks with Julian, Anthony discovered that he had past musical roots; roots that could serve vital to the 'new' band.
The final line up was in place, and the boys could now move forward with their ambitions in mind. It was by no means an easy process, as many know; but by their second month together they had played out three tracks, and that number doubled by the fourth month. Although still in their early stages as a band, these five are not to be underestimated, their fast bond and knowledge of music has made it somewhat easier to write the sound that they have all longed for.
These five have found their calling, and are not about to let it slide. Their hardcore roots shine through in the music, while emotive memories are set forth in their lyrics; Serephina has been born.
