SEED began in 1999 in Pontefract, England, which is a small town Up North in Yorkshire, and consisted of Mike Tom and Oli. Mike and Tom were both 12 and Oli was 10. Seed were on their journey. In Jan 2000, Seed recorded their first CD, which consisted of 4 tracks, 199 Marbles, Blinded everyday, It doesn't matter and So. This CD gained them Melody Maker reviews and Record label interest from Too Pure and Fierce Panda. Indeed, BBC Television filmed the band live and used the Track 199 Marbles, and it was broadcasted in August 2000, on a program called 'UKool' on BBC TV. Quickly progressing, SEED writing more and more songs and having more and more gigs, recorded another CD called, This'll put a smile on your face. This consisted of 6 tracks. Again this gave the boys good reviews in NME and Melody Maker, record label Interest was from Independiente and Infectious records.
