Second Base is a ferocious punk-rock trio hailing from Aarschot, Belgium. They've been in the business of singing and playing their hearts out for about five years now, which is the equivalent of approximately 250 shows including multiple tours to Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, the southern part of France, and the U.K.

The best description of their music I can give is melodic and emotional punkrock. Now, don't expect some tight-tshirt-wearing metrosexuals using their high pitched voices to either sing or scream about that girl that didn't accept them on myspace. Second Base is a much needed refreshment from those bands, combining the technicality of Belvedere with the harshness of NOFX and the deeper thoughts of Rival Schools. When they play, you can just tell they're for real.

The band had the honour to support some great bands in Belgium (amongst others Strike Anywhere, Useless I.D., The Loved Ones, Ignite, Belvedere, Satanic Surfers,...) and to play some of the biggest stages to be seen in Belgium, including the prestigious Maanrock where they did their thing in front of 15.000 people. Suffice to say, they enjoyed every second of their punk-rock lives so far.
