-Bio-
I am a 19 year old male, who likes simplicity and exquisite detail at the same time. I predominately play drums, but also play guitar and anything else musical I can get my hands on. I've been in bands, and have always written music on the side. Currently, I'm not in any bands, and only wish I could pursue deeper into writing and recording, however, due to lack of time and/or resources (equipment and money for the equipment) I can't... In time, things will proceed and progress. I live for Jesus and he is my strength. I see music as one of the many tools that I can use to glorify and please God. I also see it as a way to [hopefully] satisy some people with some smooth jams.
There is no limit or boundry I set for the music I listen to. I do not stay within the confines of particular genres, nor do I even pretend to know what the different genres are anymore. I can't even begin to name any favorites of mine. Really, I suppose it all started with mc hammer, michael jackson, ace of base. (you know, the tapes you listened to in elementary school?) I like anything from rip-your-throat-out metal, to mellow-singer-songwriter, to smooth-trip-hop, to laid-back-classic-rock, to sexy jazz, to heartfelt worship, to progressive-rock, to weird-new-wave-rock. I like the eagles, phil collins, kansas, and I like daft punk, M83, and dj shadow. I don't know where I am going with this. I would have to say I admire most when one man (or women) plays and records [almost] everything, like good 'ol sufjan stevens, badly drawn boy, jan hammer. I also have to say my favorites tend to be things I'd consider somewhat epic or extraordinary, like anything anathallo does, sigur ros, the appleseed cast (particularly the two low level owl volumes), aloha, cornelius, pink floyd, the mars volta, radiohead. But again, I like so much crap, I can't even begin to explain.
My music is (at the moment) all instrumental, and would have to be most influenced by my favorites of this particular genre: explosions in the sky, mogwai, unwed sailor, the six parts seven, tristeza, the album leaf, the roots of orchis, saxon shore, foxhole, mono, the mercury program, red sparowes, etc.
I also like long walks on the beach (literally), reading, road trips, fiances named Jocelyn, and a little thing called family. Thanks for reading, now read "the good news."

-Disclaimer-
I really don't know the first thing about recording or writing music and I am certainly a reverb-monger, but I try anyways.
*recommended to listen with headphones or large sub-woofer. also, download tracks for most quality sound.

THE GOSPEL
The Gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ can be found throughout the Bible. A brief summary of the good news can be found in John 3:16-18, 16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. 18 He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. The good news is that we have been set free from religion (works). That all people have access to heaven freely as a gift, by faith in Jesus, not as a result of works (Eph. 2:8-9).
CUTTING TO THE CHASE
The foundation of belief in this gospel (good news) is to believe that the historical account of Jesus RESURRECTION is true. If Jesus did not rise from the dead, Christians and all humanity have little hope for life after death because no religious leader or any other person has shown power over death. But if the Bible is true, Jesus rose from the dead, showing Himself to over 500 peopleOver a period of 40 days, speaking of the things concerning the kingdom of God (Acts 1:3, 1 Corinthians 5:6), -confirming the great hop of all humanity, that there is life after death, and that God loves us and wants us to come into a relationship with Him.
HOPE
No one can ever say for sure that anything in the past happened, but we can make logical conclusions based on evidence one way or another. This is faith. All people practice faith. When you eat at a restaurant you believe that the food isnt poisoned. Atheists practice faith when they justify the way they live their life by saying there is no God, no judgment, no right and wrong. They cant know there is no God, but they hope there is no God. We hope there is a God, and that He is as loving and forgiving and as accessible as the Bible says He is. This is not blind faith, but logical faith based on historical accounts.
THE TWO QUESTIONS
All the faith and hope in the world hinges upon two questions. One, is the Bible reliable having not been manipulated or changed since its creation. And two, is the resurrection of Jesus in the Bible accurate. If these two points prove true nothing else matters, no religion, no philosophy, no scientific theory, nothing because if Jesus rose from the dead, His words and promises have much more validity than anyone else throughout history. Jesus thus becomes far and above all, the authority on life after death, religion, philosophy, science, and all things.
WHAT DO YOU WANT?
Below you will find some of the reasons why it is logical to believe in Jesus resurrection and the accuracy of the Bible. Although these logical arguments help encourage people who have recently become followers of Jesus, I have found that they rarely will convince someone to become a follower of Christ. I have found that people will find Jesus if they are willing to, because they want to know God. Because they hope there is reason, justice, purpose, and God. It is a promise of God that He finds all who seek Him, and God has made Himself obvious through the creation (Romans 1:20). People who dont want toknow God rarely will.
ARE YOU WILLING?
If you are willing to love the Lord, please tell Him. He will hear you. If you are willing, invite Him into your life. He will come. If you are willing, ask Him to speak to you through the Bible and then read it. He will meet you there if you are willing, if you ask Him. If you are not willing, eat and drink for tomorrow we die (1 Corinthians 15:32). I would be there with you if it were not for the grace of Jesus in allowing me to be able to see and receive.
HOW CAN WE SAY IT IS LOGICAL THAT JESUS DID RISE FROM THE DEAD?
1) There were hundreds of people who witnessed Jesus after His resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:6), and over 8,000 Jews (most of whom participated in the murder of Jesus) who changed their mind about Jesus, believing in His resurrection and Lordship within weeks of their murdering Him (see Acts chapters 2 and 4). Remember that all that anyone of these over 8,000 residence of Israel would have had to do would be to walk down the street to where Jesus body was buried and say, Here is His body, you guys are lying. Christianity would have never existed. Any historical book documenting that time will recognize the fact that thousands of people immediately changed their lives to follow Jesus even in spite of the impending persecution towards Christians in that day.
(See the writings of Josephus, early Roman history, Jewish history, or the Bible).
2) All of Jesus disciples were soon tortured to death for professing Jesus resurrection from the dead (except John, who was boiled in hot oil, then exiled to an abandoned island). If Jesus disciples did not really see Jesus risen from the dead, and they were making up the story of His resurrection, maybe one or two would have been crazy enough to die for that lie, but surely not all of them.
HOW CAN WE TRUST THE ACCURACY AND AUTHENTICITY OF THE BIBLE?
1) The Bible has not changed over time, (see below) and
2) There was no motivation for it to be written wrong in the first place.
The Bible: With over 40 authors, written over a 1,500-year span, written by kings, peasants, philosophers, fishermen, statesmen, scholarsFrom prison, the wilderness, while traveling, in a palace, in the military, in a dungeon. Written during war, during peace, during different moods, from 3 continents, in 3 languages. The subject matter includes hundreds of controversial topics. Yet, the Biblical authors spoke in harmony and continuity from Genesis to Revelation. There is one unfolding story - Gods great task, the redemption of man, and mans habit of ignoring and separating himself from God.
1) The Bible has not changed over time
A) NEW TESTAMENT: If you would care enough to simply subject the New Testament to the 3 tests of historiography, (Bibliographical, internal, evidence, and external evidence) so as to compare it to all and any other of the writings of antiquity, such as the writings of Caesar, Plato, Aristotle, or Homer, The Bible proves by far the most reliable.
Compare the writings below for yourself.
1) Caesar lived from 100-44 B.C. The 10 earliest manuscripts of Caesars writings existing today date back to the 900s A.D. Which means that there was a 1000 year time span between the time it was written and our current copies. Much time for truth to be altered, yet historians accept it as historical truth.
2) Plato lived from 427-347 B.C. The 7 earliest manuscripts of Platos writings existing now date bat to the 900s A.D. Which means that there was a 1,200 year time span between the time it was written and our current copies. Much time for truth to be altered, yet historians accept it as historical truth.
3) Aristotle lived from 384-322 B.C. the 49 earliest manuscripts of Aristotles writings existing now date back to the 1100s A.D. Which means that there was a 1,500 year time span between the time it was written and our current copies. Much time for truth to be altered, yet historians accept it as historical truth.
4) Homers writings (Illiad) have the most historical validity of all of the writings of antiquity (besides the Bible). Homer lived about 900 B.C. There are 643 manuscripts of Homers writings existing now that date back to the 400s B.C. Which means that there was a 500 year time span between the time it was written and our current copies. Much time for truth to be altered, yet historians accept it as historical truth.
5) The New Testament was written from 40-100 A.D. There are approximately 24,000 manuscripts of the New Testament writings existing now dating back to 100-200 A.D. Which means that there was a 25 year time span between the time is was written and our current copies. Little time for truth to be altered, yet people refuse to accept it as historical truth.
