Scopata di Morte is a three-piece melodic/tech death metal band hailing from the thumb of Michigan, USA. Their style blends those of technical death metal bands such as Decapitated and Necrophagist with a melodic death metal feel similar to mid-late Carcass or Children Of Bodom.

They have set out most weekends over the past year and a half on local outings and mini-tours within a 250 mile radius of their home, and finally in May of 2006 they completed a brief Eastern US tour, followed by a 12 day southern U.S. outing in the first half of July, 2006. They've shared the stage with national and international touring acts such as Sonata Arctica, The Black Dahlia Murder, Goatwhore, Premonitions of War, Fecal Corpse, Ed Gein, Daughters, The Number Twelve Looks Like You, The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza, and Despised Icon. Theyre currently finishing the writing for a concept album due to be released in early 2007, and meanwhile distributing as many EPs as possible that contain early recordings of material to be released on that album.
