Biography

The music-scene is not big in the Netherlands but it is quite a miracle when you find the right line-up. Scarus is one of those bands. Scarus will bring you a new sound; in a mix of old school rock with some influences of reggae and melodic rock. After writing some shit and rehearse some hours, the Scarus of now was formed in late 2004 in the way they still are today. a 5 headed (singer, 2 guitar, bass and drums) band.

They had their own unique sound now, the sound they wanted, so it was time to write again. Their songs are about memories, life-stories, authority, love and their lifestyle. There is a lot of variation in their repertoire, but the unique Scarus sound is still in all of them, like a red line.

Although they were known all over Twente, playing at the Summer Square Festival (Hengelo) and many clubs in the vicinity of Hengelo, the old Scarus was a thing of the past. Scarus had evolved into something totally different like a virus, infecting your ears and eyes with their killer riffs, guitar licks, roaring- troth vocals, ass-kicking drums, and off course their energetic shows. So watch your backs, the virus will tear you apart...
