Hey everyone,
what a crazy 48 hours it has been. So Mike and I got picked up by John and Glenn from Lansdowne at 1am on friday and started driving to Denver to go promote our bands on the warped tour. All was fine until Glenn got pulled over going 85 in a 65 and the cop was going to give us a warning but Glenn was stuttering and when the cop asked him where he lived Glenn gave him 3 different addresses hahaha so the cop revoked Glenn's liscence and said that he is suppossed to arrest Glenn for driving with out a legal liscence but because we're late for the warped tour he is going to let us go with a very large ticket. We kept driving for god knows how long we literally drove 32 straight hours only stopping to piss and eat. we ran into a band in iowa with whom we played in CT so that was random..... mike and I ate some canned tuna and canned corn cause we can't afford anything else. We spent almost $500 on gas going to Denver. So basically we got to Denver with no money which was really scary.
When we got to the warped tour gates we told security we were a band that was playing and cause the saw the van and trailer they let us in. Boooooooyaaaaaa!!!! so we then put on the ALF costume and put a say when tshirt and went inside with ipods to promote our bands. It was nuts the reaction ALF got. kids would run up to us and ask to take pictures and asked for hugs and asked to listen to the bands. Luckily we sold enough to eat that night and get gas to get our asses to phoenix.
things went so well and we got such a huge buzz that fuse.tv and warped tour tv and buzznet tv all started looking for us because they wanted interviews. so that's right you guys will be seeing us on tv stuttering lol
We met so many cool people in Denver. We met these awesome girls who helped us promote and who were the nicest people ever. We met cool bands like All Time Low and took pictures with Thursday and Bayside and some others.
We also went down to the clubs and met some really cool promoters. I for one can't wait to come back to Denver cause the city rocks!!!!
We couldn't afford a hotel so we drove to a rest stop and slept in the van.....we have now officially gone 3 days without showering hahaha
we drove god knows how many miles, spend tons on gas killed tons of bugs yeah our windshield is gross eeeewwwwww but damn was it fun promoting and warped and meeting all the cool new friends we made.
we're finishing up the video blog as we speak and will be posting that very very soon. so watch out peoples...... stay tuned for some cool funny video footage.

Heartbreak on eBay
Dear kokopelli527,
I'm writing to you to ask you the following question: How does it feel to break my heart?
I'm sure you didn't mean to. I'm sure you're a fine person, and I have to admit you have excellent taste in guitars. But did you really need the 1977 Gibson RD Standard you just stole right out from under me on eBay?
Perhaps you do need it. But you will never love it as much as I would have.
Let me tell you something about this guitar. It would complete me. If I have it, all will be right in the world. There will be no poverty. There will be no suffering. Broken marriages will mend themselves, everybody's bowling average will go up, dogs will get along with cats, and people will give the courtesy wave every time somebody lets them into traffic.
But no. You just had to go bid $60 more than I did.
I hope you can live with yourself, Mr. Kokopelli. Just know that every time you turn on the news and see that something bad has happened, the blame lies with you and you alone. You could have done something to stop it.
You heartless bastard. A curse on you and your eBay-sniper software.
That's it! I will curse your guitar. Here goes:
"Hoooodaaamagadaga!"
There! Now every time you play it live, you will break a string. That cute girl who was eyeing you from the front row will turn her attention to your singer. You will die old, lonely and peniless. And penis-less.
I hate to do this to you, Kokopelli, but I can't help but feel this way now that you have taken a slice of heaven and wrested it from my very hands.
May God have mercy on your soul.

Health drinks
We were on our way to the studio, about a mile from the highway exit when the Say Whenabago ran out of gas. I'm not talking "man, we're low on gas" or "man, we should get gas soon," I'm talking we were completely out of gas.
Lucky for us we have Mark in the band, because somehow he got the van to start again -- three times -- and we coasted on fumes to the nearest gas station. While he was filling up, Mikey ran inside to use the bathroom and came out with a 30- pack of some new health drink they have called beer.
We had never heard of this drink before but as soon as we tasted it we realized it was delicious. We tried some more, then some more after that.
We set up in the studio to make some demos of our new songs and Mark played his drums and Mike played his bass, and while Zack and Maxwell and I were waiting to record our guitar parts, we tried some more of the health drink and pretty much fell in love with it.
(Side note: Right when we were about to start recording, it occurred to us that Friday was Mark's birthday. He didn't tell anybody and we all forgot. Sorry buddy. Happy birthday.)
By the end of the day, we had spent 13 hours in the studio, recorded the music for eight new songs, ate six pizzas and drank 60 health drinks. We were feeling really healthy. When we got back to Boston (Mark drove because he only had a few health drinks) Maxwell and Mike and I went to a bar, where they serve more health drinks. We had two more and then for some reason we were very tired so we all went to Maxwell's house and slept.
When we woke up Sunday, we realized that drinking too many health drinks sometimes makes you feel bad the next morning. But we had a show to play in Portland, Maine, so we took some Advil and got on with the day.
Portland is a great town, and the club that we played, The Big Easy, is a really cool room with an excellent sound engineer named Wally. We met tons of cool kids there, especially the DC-17s and their friends. It's been a long time since I saw a band have that much fun on stage, and their friends are totally nuts and awesome.
Before we played, we took a walk around downtown Portland and stopped by Bull Moose Music, the local record store. As soon as we walked in we saw something really familiar: Our album. We will never get tired of seeing our album on sale in stores. Very cool.
After eating some delicious sandwiches, we went back to the club and played and had a great time. We tried out a very very brand new song called Deception and we think everybody really liked it. Hmmm, what else happened ... we met Jassy the bartender and she bought one of our Red Sox shirts, and we met two girls named Heather and Kelly and I kept forgetting which girl was which, and then the DC-17s and their friends helped us load our gear into the trailer.
Totally awesome weekend. We can't wait for you guys to hear the new songs, and we have some really reeeeally big news to tell you about, and we will in a couple of weeks when the time is right.
Now I am off to take the shower I have needed for the past 36 hours. Seriously, I smell terrible right now. I just got home for the first time since Friday morning and I'm pretty sure my roommate just passed out from how bad I reek.
Portland rocks!
