Politics, thats what its all about. You think the lyrics are about vampires and werewolves? No! Theyre political. Its all metaphores. Vampires are war. Vampires are creatures that live off of destruction and death. They kill you and bring you back to life as one of them. In a war, a country destroys the opposition and then rebuilds in their own image. There are hidden political and sometimes personal meanings to all of these songs about vampires and werewolves and ghosts and ghouls and goblins.

Sanguinarian started back when I was Dead November with Matt and Niko. Matt did most of the writing for that band, it was his band. That was fine, but I needed an outlet as well. Especially since I was the singer and I also play the geetar. I'm such a hick. Anywho, Matt showed me a video of Cradle of Filth live, and gave me his copy of Midian. Thats where Sanguinarian really began. They heavily influenced this project. Because of them I do way too much trem picking. I wrote a lot of songs that never went anywhere, but some of the guitar riffs were salvaged and are used in some songs. The intro to Rebirth in Shadow and the verse to The Price of Dreams were both from back in the day. Now that I'm a bit better at composing and writing music, shit is starting to get done. The 7 track EP is finaly done.
