These boys have what it takesWith their dueling harmonic vocals to their soft melodic leads right into the hardcore breakdowns, Sailing to Rome knows what they are aiming for. We look to the sky for inspiration, says drummer Steve Evans. We get our inspiration from a lot of bands including; Emery, Underoath, Thursday, Thrice and many more. Finding their musical chi, STR knows how to please their fans and themselves. Sailing to Rome has proved to the local Buffalo scene what they've got. With their stunning live performances, STR blows kids away. Their live shows are nothing that you should miss. Their stage presence shows kids how to rock out and have a good time.

The quintuplet started up in 2005 by Austin and Jay both looking to start a softer style of music. Looking to succeed in the biz, they both decided to get this whole band thing rolling. The later added Steve on drums following Chris on guitar. In late 2006, their old bass player quit (well call him Marvin) and Chadd was later added. With these dudes together, their sound has been perfected. This band ranges in all different types of musical influences and ideas that help create STRs sound. Not just to set themselves aside from everyone else but to make sure that everyone who listens to them is intrigued by their sound.

The bands live shows consist of a lead-singer change up during the middle of their sets. Either Austin or Jayson will open or close the show by leading the band in vocals and contributing everything they have to the crowd. They are always willing to hang and chill with fans.
