Walrus Writings: Rubber Soul Live on the Ubiquitous YouTube!
blog post
Hey Friends,
Rubber Soul has finally awoken from it's 1960's golden slumber and has caught up to the 21st century!
We're proud to announce the debut of four classic live cuts recorded at City Island's venerable Starving Artist Cafe & Gallery. The four songs, "Can't Buy Me Love," "Day Tripper," "Something," and "Yer Blues" were taped last December (2006) in front of a packed house. Whereas it doesn't capture the energy of BEING THERE, it comes very close.
I'd be remissed if I didn't thank singer-songwriter and Starving Artist proprietor Elliott Glick for preparing the live footage for airing on YouTube and photographer/videographer Anna Foster for filming the footage.
