Walrus Writings: Rubber Soul Triumphs Again on City Island!
blog post
Hey Kids:
The band is back and in full swing!
Rubber Soul played its ELEVENTH consecutive sold-out engagement at City Islands venerated venue for music and art The Starving Artist Cafe & Gallery on Saturday, September 15th.
Musicians and patrons alike enjoyed an evening of delectable delights and rousing Fab Four fare. Its always a real pleasure entertaining the folks at SACG as the atmosphere tends to bring out the best Rubber Soul has to offer.
Highlights included the first-ever interactive repertoire as audience members voted on four songs that were to be included on the Help! album bloc. The second act was book-ended with the inaugural performances of Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band and the Reprise version, respectively.
On behalf of the group, Id like to thank the GREAT people at The Starving Artist: Uncle Bill, little Hannah (our BIGGEST fan), and of course Monica and Elliott Glick.
May you all enjoy a wonderful autumn and we look forward to seeing many of you at our next scheduled performance. If anything else happens to come along, youll be the first to know!
Peace and love to all,
The Walrus
