Are you an aspiring solo artist or duo? Are you itching to live out the rock 'n' roll dream?
If you answer "Yes!" to both these questions then Rooney, your favourite connoisseurs of summery pop/rock brilliance, could just be your saviours.

In exclusive conjunction with the NME, the West Coast quintet want seven unsigned British musicians to support them acoustically on each leg of their forthcoming UK tour. That's seven opportunities to open for one America's favourite new bands!

The band will pick seven different artists (one for every night of the tour) and give them a 15 minute acoustic slot at the start of the evening to play whatever they want!

All aspiring musicians need to do to enter is to head over to NME.com and tell them why you'd like to support Rooney, give them your Myspace address (ensuring that you have 3 self-performed tracks in your music player). Oh and tell us what date/venue you like to support.

The beast has awoken. The five piece rock band from Los Angeles has been laying low, but we're getting ready to return with a vengence. We formed in 1999 and after playing the sunset strip clubs and self producing e.p.s for a couple of years, we made our major label debut and hit the road. We toured with Weezer, The Strokes, Sloan, The Sounds, The Donnas, Travis, Keane, and many others. After our first record reached nearly gold status and yielded two successful singles, we retreated to l.a. where, after many hold ups, we recorded "Calling the World" over three weeks time. It's finally out now all over the globe. We update this page frequently so please enjoy!
