A sense of place is a critical element of your self image. We need the familiar to feel grounded. We need a place where we belong. For some it's a mansion, others a quiet place by the lake, but it can be a place you go in your mind when a song simply takes you away...

ROOM FOR TWO is a collection of fond memories...voices, songs, and melodies that are fresh but still familiar. Adam and Nikki have contributed to the soundtrack of our lives with hit songs as writers, producers, musicians, and performers. Radio, film, and television--from Contemporary Christian music to MTV--have felt their presence and recognized their achievements with platinum records, awards, industry accolades, and most recently, a Grammy award. Their reach has extended from the US to Europe, with hit songs in the US, Sweden, Germany, and France. With their creative and spiritual union comes a new vision...

Adam Anders was born in Stockholm, Sweden and raised on the road performing with his family around the world. His first big break in the music business was playing bass for CCM artist Steven Curtis Chapman. Four years later, Adam turned his focus to songwriting and production, taking his first major step as programmer/arranger for Chapman's platinum selling album Speechless. Soon after, Adam had his second big break when he wrote the Backstreet Boys' worldwide smash single, "More Than That."
/>
Nikki Hassman was born and raised on the farms of small town Iowa. Her music career began when she joined the CCM vocal group, Avalon. As the soprano in Avalon, Nikki recorded two albums, sold over 1.5 million records, won three Dove awards, and scored eight number one singles. After Avalon, then Sony CEO, Tommy Mottola, discovered Nikki's voice and signed her to a solo deal on Columbia Records. Two of the songs were featured on major soundtracks: Dawson's Creek ("Any Lucky Penny") and The Wedding Planner ("Adore You").

ROOM FOR TWO is based in NYC and features a blend of Adam and Nikki's writing skills, her intimate yet powerful voice, and his remarkable instrumental and vocal talent. From Adam's pop sensiblity, to Nikki's roots in the heartland, to the urban pulse of the city, this deeply soulful and unique fusion of sounds will leave you asking for more.

I am so loving this version of Roots Before Branches! I like this version more than the version on that princess movie that comes on ABC family(the verison that has strings...this version doesn't have strings). This version seems more calm, airy, smooth, ambient...kind of jazzy. Oct 03
