Serving as an inspiration to many, Rob Bates has without a doubt proven himself as an avid visionary and a dedicated student of music. Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, Rob Bates, 19, successfully battled back from Cancer, and it was at this point in his life when he decided he wanted to engage himself in an established career in music production. Having noticed his interest in music from a young age, Rob Bates, dubbed 'The Giant Killer,' continued to grow, and now, the short guy with a big heart and a tall sound, has found his way to the forefront of the 2008 National Red Bull Big Tune producer competition. Hailing from the Chi, his influences have been fellow Chicago producers by the likes of Kanye West and No I.D. with influential sound inspiration from producers like Dr. Dre, and Jus Blaze.
