Road to Bremen (RTB) is an American alternative rock band formed in 2008 in Los Angeles, California. The band consists of four members: Darren Massey, Nick Alley, Johnny Ashkar, and Danny Bell. In 1998, Darren and Nick began their musical careers together after founding 52 Pickup during their early years of highschool. The group gained a certain level of noteriety after being featured in a commercial and print campaign for Union Bay Clothing. In 2007, Darren and Nick came together again after working on various separate projects for several years. After meeting Johnny at a party through mutual friends, the three began to play with Darren on vocals and bass, Nick on guitar and piano, and Johnny on drums. They soon began to discover an entirely new sound. Spending the next several months cultivating and refining this new sound, they decided to form a new band. Road to Bremen was born out of a desire to create something new and original yet with a familiar taste for audiences to connect and identify with. After hearing demo tracks for Hands Down, The Vagrant and Paper Walls, Danny Bell (longtime friend of Darren) joined the band and took over on bass. The band recently finished recording their debut EP, Foreword, which is current out now.
