Project Background: The Rising Stars Project was founded in 2004 on a love of good alternative music, no matter the origin or style. It now represents an organic, grass-roots ethos of music promotion in a world fixated by digital music and mp3 technology. A world where scouring the online haunts of millions of bands vying for your attention and bandwidth is the norm. Rising Stars does not follow musical trends, no genre is dead and none is unworthy of our attention. This project listens to and researches music from thousands of artists located across the world. Then, after much research, deliberation and of course the search for that memorable spark which every hit song needs - a compilation is born. This 3rd international music showcase aims to introduce the media, industry and alt. music lover to a world of new music from a selection of artists from 7 countries with everything it takes to be stars.
