In early 2004, Rich Man's Ransom was conceived out of the minds of four florida youth. Their dream was to play music with a positive message, and have an awesome time doing it. Now, two members carry on the vision. Moving to a more acoustic style, Nate and Jon are fulfilling the original mission of presenting a means to a new beginning through music.
Nate and Jon want to let the world know that there is hope, and that though the outlook is bleak, you'll be taken care of. Their inspiration comes from their faith in God and His son Jesus. Jon says, "The reason we're here is because of Jesus and His love for us. That is the entire reason why we're doing this, to promote that message of love to everyone."
Nate and Jon met in Sarasota, Florida as young children. The two quickly became good friends. Nate and Jon's friendship grew and they are now great friends. "You have to be really good friends with the people in the band, it doesn't really work otherwise," Nate says.
Rich Man's Ransom plans to work the local scene and eventually go on tour with fellow local bands. Their new CD will be out soon, and with it brand new horizons.
