a bit of a novelty, this maniac plays the guitar and bass upside down and backwards,in the style of albert king,doyle bramhall 2nd,eric gales, it creates a unique sound on some chords,and drives the guys he writes with crazy!!
he has to have these lefty strats strung right handed so the big e is on the bottom!!
where is bunjee when you need him?i tried to straighten him out long ago and just be left handed damn it but he dont listen.
richard started out 100 yrs ago in a blues cover band called toast,and they were... but it led to him luckily hooking up with great musicians like the reverend freddie,to form a band called thundershack
who had the great fortune of opening for some popular acts at the time, the headstones,the four horsemen,colin james,the killer dwarfs,from blues greats to local punk and heavy metal heroes to opening for zakk wylde on his first solo tour,(he still plays the guitar zakk told him was a good one ,and treats it like some kind of religious object/ good luck charm even though it is worn right out...this also drives me nuts) richard has been priveleged to work and meet with some of his long time guitar inspirations...after the untimely demise of that band(and narrowly escaping his own untimely demise at the hands(paws)of a large unfriendly ontario black bear, richard went exploring,the blues,the road,art,spiritualism,fatherhood. during all this and recording the experiences on a terrible bunch of junk(my own opinion, but again he dont listen to me) melding his long timeand diverse influences like robin trower,aic,harry manx,allmans,joni mitchell,motorhead,spinal tap,monty python,uncle t,richard is back to try and share some of the cat killin,bends and wails he picked up off the side of the road along the way.he recorded his new songs playing most of the parts himself while snowed in deep in ontarios backroad country(i kept calling and telling him to shave and buy a damn snowmobile but...).its raw,demo stuff for now,rugged like the guys who layed it down,with some help from,ashley remblum,the tripleones,doug thunder,sisters near and far,good friends and family,richard has somehow survived long enough to still be making that damn loud guitar noise that he has been deafening me with for the last twenty years...ride on bro,just turn it down will you!!
hopefully someone will pick this guy up and get him to make a real album again...somewhere else,...please!!...so i can get some sleep around here.

so i am just running around a bit right now having some fun with the acoustic solo thing,selling some little demo cd's and using part of the proceeds to give back
starting work on a demo with bass player from the thundershacka threee piece rock/psychedelic/jam thing,drummers are rotating presently until we decide who wants to take it out with us,looking to do some showcase gigs in the spring,possibly coming to a beer and whizz scented rundown venue near you,who knows we will keep things posted and up to date on here,also more acoustic stuff.i started doing it just recently for my own enjoyment and the response to my initial demos seems pretty positive so i plan to finish up some more planned out pieces,and team up with a couple cats to do some acoustic duet gigs and see where it goes...cannot tell a lie sort of hiding out in the studio till it warms up a bit too!!

DOING MY OWN THING IS SITTIN PRETTY WELL WITH ME RIGHT NOW,BUT ALWAYS OPEN TO POSSIBILITY OF WORKING WITH OR FOR OTHER ARTISTS,AS A GUITAR PLAYING TYPE INDIVIDUAL
IF ANYONE OUT THERE THINKS THEY CAN FIT SOME RIFFS OR THE NOISE I MAKE INTO WHAT THEY HAVE TO SAY THEN DROP ME A LINE .
