Hailing from Detroit, Michigan USA and spanning international borders, both Adaora and Steven Razorblade push limits and areas that some dare or have not gone, setting themselves apart from the rest with melodic to heavy vocals, pulsing beats, guitar and synth. Formed in 2005, the band started off as a one person project consisting of drum and bass until the addition of a singer in January 2007- and the Razorblade Twins were born. Now a two-piece band, the merging of influences ranging from emo/post-hardcore, metal, dance, electro, goth and a love of industrial is part of the new wave of music to hit the scene. Now, on the heels of their debut EP release "Black Pills", they are preparing to bring their sound to the masses. They are currently hard at work on their full-length debut album "A New Way To Love".
"Detroit based Gothic Industrial duo the Razorblade Twins is indeed no hard pill to swallow. Enigmatic, dynamic and draped in mystique and darkness, the harsh almost military tones are veiled and moulded beautiful and entwine with the sexual and deeply sensual vocal stylings of Adaora, a temptress in her own right. "Black Pills" is a slow almost methodical industrial EP, a cross between NIN and slower parts of VNV Nation or Icon Of Coil, and it all blends well, fused to perfection and relishing the black world of night!"
