Randy Black
(Born 1966). Is an American folk rock musician, songwriter, engineer, and producer. After beginning his interest in music at the age of 8 with an upright piano in the garage, he taught himself to play the guitar and remained musically active throughout school. Black wrote his first song at age 11 and continues to write folk music to this day. Black played in several bands throughout the 70âs, 80âs and 90âs, most notable âFalloutâ, âFoulplayâ, and âDaydreamerâ, touring the country with original material. Thereafter, Black worked at Synchrophonics recording in Nashville as an engineer and producer. Black has released several studio albums, most notable âMaterial Thangâ, and the latest releases âMakerâ and âSecondsâ. Black is currently working on 3 projects; âFriendsâ a compilation of original songs featuring singers he has worked with throughout the years. âThrowbackâ a cover song album featuring folk songs from the 70âs, and âRe-maker,â his second Christian folk album in as many years.
