How long has it been since we've updated our purevolume? For real. Our last blog post was that we were going on tour over 4 months ago!
We've been very busy lately. Our bassist Alex quit right before tour and we were lucky enough to have our good friend Sean (Sound Affects) pretty much leave his job for 2 weeks with absolutely no notice and fill in for us! We had a great time up until Brian broke his hand, but we only had to cancel 2 dates, so it was still a very successful tour in our eyes.
When we got back we were able to pick up ex-Proposal bassist, Cody Lossow, and he's doing awesome! Since we got him in the lineup we've been lucky enough to play with some awesome bands including New Atlantic, Holiday Parade, Liam and Me and even Sugarcult! We also signed to Starlista Music Management!
We're FINALLY finishing up our EP after having to re-teach all the bass parts to 3 new people in just 1 month and re-recording all kinds of stuff. We'll be finishing up the vocals within the next few weeks and then getting it all mixed, mastered and pressed! We hope to have it out early next year and we couldn't be happier to finally have the release date in sight!
That's about where we're at right now. Taking a month off to write loads of new stuff (we have some pretty fun new songs for when we come back, you do NOT want to miss out!) Other than that we're gonna be promoting like crazy and trying to get all kinds of new merch and interesting stuff for you guys when we get back.
Our last show of the year will be in Natick on Thursday, November 29th with Lannen Fall, The High Court, Sound The Alarm and Brunswick, and we'll be celebrating Cody's 21st birthday!
We hope to see you all there, and anyone who can't, we'll see you next year!
