After forming in late 2004 the band underwent numerous lineup changes and name changes over a span of a year. Radiation Year jumped onto the scene in July of 2005. The band emerged with a new vocalist hailing from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Nick Chiasson, who brought his southern rock influence to Radiation Years explicit hardcore.
Radiation Year has grown to be a Maine-based enigma. Combining a mixture of Southern Rock and Hardcore, the band has raised eyebrows throughout New England. Each band member brings their own unique influence; giving their live performance great variations of rock, hardcore, and funk. Seeing Radiation Year live is a celebration of brutal intensity; flooring listeners and stunning crowds. Filled with intense "yellin" and volatile musical flare, each show is a new beginning for these rockers.
