Pulling Thorns is a Christian active rock group that has been compared to bands like Underoath, and Anberlin. The members of Pulling Thorns are Tim Duke, Tracy Watson, Joe Cazzell, and Jordan Carmon. They came together in late 2004 through the university they attended. Tim, Joe, and Tracy had all known each other previously and had played together with various drummers. Once they got to school they picked up Jordan to fill the percussion spot, and became a full force musical act. Their music is deeply based on the bands beliefs in Christ. Pulling Thorns has hopes of being able to share Christ with people through the music they play, the way they present themselves on stage, and through their lives.

They have had the privilege of recording a five song EP as well as play with bands such as Jonah 33, Radial Angel, Chasing Victory, Edison Glass, Last Tuesday, Seven System, Meryll, and We Against. The band is also currently receiving airplay on several Arkansas radio stations including KXNA (Northwest Arkansas), KDJE (Central Arkansas), and KUCA (University of Central Arkansas), and has been played on many internet stations including Spin 180 and Build the Church. Other accomplishments include: recording a music video for their song "The Hole", televised acoustic set over Central Arkansas' public station Channel 6, and a feature article in the University of Central Arkansas newspaper. Pulling Thorns has toured all over Arkansas and with a current national radio campaign they are looking to spread their music to the surrounding states.
