How did I get in this mess?
It all started about 6 years ago when the singer in one of my old bands and myself decided we should start a "post hardcore band". I called up a couple of my best friends & they jumped on the boat as drummer and guitar player (I was going to play bass)...however things got put on hold and we never really got around to doing ne thing. I got kicked out of my house and so did my singer friend...So, when I returned home to Ottumwa, Ia I found myself alone in my old bedroom...decided to teach myself guitar and try to start some songs for this new project. I did so, and wrote about 6 tracks. (five out of six no longer get played.)
When I got back to school (in Burlington) I asked around and found out my singer friend was living in Iowa City...So, he was pretty much out and I couldn't find my other 2 friends. At this point I had pretty much gave up being in a band...started going back to school, living on my own, dating, and working on this solo stuff. One night I ran into an old friend of mine and he asked me if "my band" would want to play this benefit thing he was having. I didn't have a band (at that time) but I did have 6 songs and a name...So, I got a guitar and an amp off my brother...and showed up.
That's my story of the post hardcore band that never was and the solo project that came out of it.
In about 2004 I took sometime off to play bass in a cover band..now I'm back, still doing stuff and writing new music...just not "playing out" right now.
Looking to maybe record some new stuff soon.
I hope you enjoi!
