Price Hill was started in the summer of 2005 by Tyler Murphy (Vocals/ Rhythm Guitar) and Robert Willis (Bass) under the original name Common Destiny. During the first several months, Price Hill was manly a coffee shop band until they added Robert's friend, Seth Mueller (Lead Guitar/ Vocals). Tyler then asked Chris Chalman (drums), the drummer of a band he formerly played in (Signs of Immanuel), to join Price Hill. Chris gladly accepted.

After playing together for a year and leading worship at several youth camps and retreats, Price Hill added its final member, Kevin Gibbs (Guitar, Sax, Vocals, Keys, Etc.). Kevin knew Tyler from Church and Chris from school, and he was also a member of Signs Of Immanuel. Since then, the band continues to lead worship for camps and retreats, and in July of 2007, will be going on their first tour (the For Real Tour).

In April of 2007, the band changed its name from Common Destiny to Price Hill when it was discovered that there was another Christian band called Common Destiny. The name Price Hill reminds us of the tremendous price that was paid by Jesus on Calvary Hill to free everyone from sin. Price Hill also happens to be the name of the neighborhood in which Tyler lives.

Price Hill's mission is to spread the Word of God and the teachings of Jesus Christ through music. They believe that musical talent is a gift from God, and that it should be used in a way that strengthens His Kingdom.
