POCKETFUL OF AWESOME

Rock / Alternative

We are a blues-influenced Rock band from Yukon, Oklahoma. Clay Coughlin sings lead vocals and plays rhythm guitar. Taylor Johnson plays lead guitar and backup vocals. Taylor Overholser plays bass and backup vocals. Jerred Murphy plays drums and sings backup vocals. We are very 60's and 70's influenced musically. We listen to anything from The Beatles, to Led Zeppelin, to The Strokes. It all started back in January of 2006. Clay came over to sing with Ktulu (Taylor Johnsons former band). Taylor and Clay fell in love, and it took off from there. It started off with a deal, Taylor would join PFOA and in return he would get a life supply of vanilla pudding. Then the fabulous 4 genious teenagers played for the first time in Jerred's practice room. If heaven was a sound, that was it. We then released our first cd which was our DEMO consisting of 5 songs, 1. Hapsford Blues, 2.I'm too old for this, 3. Two Tokens for the Boatman, 4. Mister Satan, and 5. Ballad of Burt Bacharach. We sold them (and still are, buy one from us). And once we sell 300 of them, we will go back to our studio (Free Sprit Records, from Kenn McSpiritt) and record our full-length album, which will have probably have the best 13 of our 16-17 songs. It will contain the 5 songs from the demo, then our selection from: Can't Seem To Get Any Life Out Of Here, Oh Hello, The Player, Ian McRee, Ballad of Burt Bacharach Part 2, Popularity Train, Bitch, your so cold, The Way It Should Be, Kellen Quit The Band, and a few others. Listen to us, come to our shows, we love you. Thanks for your support.
