thank you Chicago...

It started, and it's finished.

7 years of one dream has ended. In a way it's good, change is needed and it was just time...but then again...it was amazing, and it was everything anyone could have hoped for and more.

Today we of Platinum 9 played together for the last time as Platinum 9, well, yeah. The plan for a last show was thrown away, and ended the way it should have ended...with loud amplifiers, drums, vocals, and in a basement. Today we played all the songs we knew and loved, or knew and hated, or didn't know and love, or didn't know and hate. We think it was right for us to just play the music one last time for ourselves, and it was so much fun. We apologize to anyone who was hoping for a final show, but we just couldn't do it.

We close this chapter because it needed to just end. We are all still good friends but we all felt that it was time to put things to rest on a good note. We all plan to continue playing music and perhaps even jam as p9 again sometime, but for now it's done. In no way did we plan for it to end like this, but the possitive side to how this ended is, it ended with friends playing music.

What happened to the CD we were recording? Well, we'll see what will happen to it, but announcements on it will come soon. We also do not have any merch left over. There are a few Mayday EP CD's left but that's all.

Joel will continue with guitar and will be departing town for U of I. Anthony's life on the drums will definately continue and he will be leaving town for EIU. Eric has decided to pursue his solo career of music...check him out...www.myspace.com/anthonyandrews Mike has his plans to continue with thelaurenfactor with Tim and will be leaving town for MSOE. Tim will never stop playing, he has taken a spot as the drummer in a band with Mike and some members from other bands in the area, and he will pursue a are career in composition at CCPA.

We never wanted to have our music destroyed by the pursuit of money, or fame, the band has always been about the music, and having fun. We don't regret any of the music we have ever played, and we stand proud of every song we've ever played, mostly. We will always hold the rights to our music and words.

Thank you so much to everyone who ever bought our music, listened to our music, sang our lyrics, came to our shows, or ever supported us, You really let us live a dream.

Thank you all, and goodnight.
