Plasma first started in 2004 in the city of Sao Paulo (Brazil) when Rafael (guitar) and PH (bass) met. After a few conversations about music, both realized they had many mutual ideas and decided to form a band. Shortly after a search for musicians who'd be interested in making the kind of music they had in mind, PH invites his friends Guilherme (vocals) and Andre (drums) to join in, and some rehearsals later the four of them decide to make it official: Plasma was born.
The main influences are bands from the early nineties such as Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Tool, Faith No More and also individual influences from each member.
Plasma's goal is to make a different type of sound, keeping their personality and without the concearn of following trends or even a certain music style.
From the beginning, the band had as a main priority the making of compostions of their own, besides playing songs from other artists as well. With this thought in mind, Plasma recorded 3 songs (Edge Of A Lie, No sense and Lone Sunday) and spread their music using the internet as the their most poweful tool.
In june 2005 Andre quits the band and is replaced by Victor Cirone, a talented drummer who had already played with PH in previous bands. Cirone brings a new approach and different influences to the table, but keeping Plasma's focus the same: music with love and energy.
