The idea for Plain came about when four musicians from completely different musical backgrounds, all with years of experience on both the Swiss and European scenes, met up at the beginning of 2004 in Ticino, Switzerland.

After several months of work, they came out with their first self- produced EP catching the attention of the public and the media in Switzerland, Europe and the USA.

Later on, two more members joined to complete the band line-up adding even more vitality to this already fascinating mix of progressive alternative rock.
After their live debut in 2005, Plain started performing at some of the most significant Swiss venues, playing support to groups from the International music scene and working with local artists.

Thanks to hard work, dedication and professional commitment Plain are now producing their first album due to be released in January 2008. The quirky sounds produced from this unusual combination of talents and personalities make the album hard to define or label.

At the moment the band is busy preparing live gigs and the promotion of their latest work .
