Rising from the wasteland of northeast Nebraska is a group of musicians taking their chance against a world that sees them as nothing. Fueled by a variety of influences, this trio has struck a cord with a small following. Headed by Jeff Peterson on vocals and guitar, the band has created a sound of both old and new age punk. Followed by Keith Kriz behind the drums and Slim "Chris "Holton at the bass, Pitch Black Year pours their passion for the love of music into every song, at every show, and within this world they exist.

This is to inform you all that Pitch Black Year as been entered in a "battle of the bands" competition. We have qualified to the next round and will be playing an area show with other bands. Most likely this show will be in Minnesota but it should be a good time and the more support and help we can get the better chances we have. Thanks for all those who have voted for us and have helped us past the first round.
