We had the opportunity to play at Ford Field (Superbowl) in Detroit, MI this last Saturday for over 30,000 people. It was very cool and weird at the same time. It was cool because it was Ford Field and there was 30,000 people. But at the same time it was really weird because the stage was so huge and the crowd was so far away I couldn't see their faces. April 6, 2006- Tour Rehearsal

This whole last week has almost been like having a normal job. Monday-Thursday we have been pulling 9-5's getting ready for the POD tour. This is the first time we have actually done real tour rehearsals. Normally we just jam for a day and say we're ready. We have been working on song selection, arrangements, new songs, and vocals. We are in the bus right now slowly making our way back home from our weekend trip out to California. I've been getting lots of reading done and caught up on episodes of House. Most of the guys in the bus are hooked on House now because that guy is so sarcastic. On our way out to California on Thursday something crazy happened. Well I can't even begin to describe how great I feel right now. I have some amazing things to tell you guys. Its now safe to say that all the Pillar wives are pregnant. After years of trusting God we are able to tell our friends and family that a new Beckley is due in October. Last Friday was Rob's last day in the studio until after the POD tour. He has been in the studio for over a month and is ready for a break. We got close to 12 songs completely finished right now. Between now and the end of the POD tour we will listen to these songs and make sure we are 100% happy with them and continue to work on some of the other songs. Of the 20 some songs that we wrote musically for this album the top half have started to surface over the last few weeks. Lester joined Rob… read more
