We have some exciting news for you all! There are going to be two new additions to the Pillar family this summer. Lester and his wife are expecting their first baby in June. My wife and I will be having our second in July. Please keep our wives and the babies in your prayers.
So what have we been up to lately? Not playing very many shows that's for sure. We have been locked up in the recording studio working hard on our new record which we hope to release this summer. Lester and Noah did an amazing job with the drums and guitars. I actually just finished tracking all my bass parts earlier today and I fly home tomorrow. One of my favorite new songs so far had a working title of "Samurai" because the bass line was influenced by the movies "The Last Samurai" and "Hero". I love the chorus Rob has for it. I think it might really be called "Wake Me Up". Rob was able to get into the studio a few days last week and tracked vocals for a song called "Last Goodbye". It turned out killer. Our first 5/4 time signature, great lyrics, and counter melodies. Rob will be back in the studio tomorrow to start hammering out more vocals. Please pray for him to have a continuous flow of inspiration as he is working. So you know- we haven't decided on a title for the new album yet. We will continue to post regular journal entries of our studio progress on www.pillarmusic.com and www.myspace.com/pillar. Thank you for your prayers and support.

PILLAR AND P.O.D. ON TOUR
Pillar is proud and excited to announce we will be apart of the "P.O.D. WARRIORS Part 2 - Guilty By Association" US Spring Tour. Back in May of 1999 before P.O.D. broke through with their Atlantic Records debut they undertook the now legendary "Warriors Tour". Over 7 million units later P.O.D is bringing the "Warriors Part 2" tour to the road and they have asked us to be a part of this amazing line up. Along with Pillar and P.O.D. you will also get to see two of the hottest young bands on the planet- The Chariot and 'Maylene and the Sons of Disaster'. The Chariot was formed by former Norma Jean vocalist Josh Scogin. Their unique approach to performance, art, and music has already built a major buzz. And the live show is just brutal! Maylene and the Sons of Disaster are southern rock for a new generation. Hard, heavy, and powerful. This band is proud of who they are and what they believe. It is going to be a lot of fun playing with all of these amazing bands. We are going to bring the best show of our career to the road. We will play all the favorites plus a few of the new songs we are working on right now in the studio. So if you want to be a part of history do not miss these shows. Dates will be announced soon.
"There may never be another band that comes along that has such an epic passion in their music. Easily one of the biggest influences on musicians in this industry and the most looked up to. They have encouraged me to live strong and with no fear in a world that is somewhat intimidating. Let it be known that P.O.D. is for real. Great musicians, great passion, and great presence. They may never know the impact they have had not only on fans, but on the industry.....both general market and Christian!" Rob Beckley
