The news is out! Pillar will be touring with POD this spring on the "Warrior's 2: Guilty By Association Tour". The tour will take place this April/May. Dates to be announced soon. Yes, you will hear new Pillar material during that tour. Probably the best of the new stuff we are working on right now. You might even be able to go home with a taste of the new music?...maybe?...we will see?....something we are working on.
So Rob was in the studio last week and started tracking vocals on a few songs. I got to hear a song we called "5/4" up until now on Friday for the first time with vocals. The working title was "5/4" because it is the only song we've written in a 5/4 time signature. Don't worry Rob has a much better name for it. I was blown away by the lyrics and Rob's vocal performance on the song. So will you. Rob has the next few days off so I am back in the studio to finish up tracking bass. I only have three songs and an instrumental left to record. Since I had the whole last week to listen to the other songs I already finished I might go back and tweak a few songs. Hey, this is the album, its gotta be perfect. The only bad thing is that I am pretty sick right now. My son was sick last week and I couldn't keep from kissing him. So here I am sick, but ready to get back to work. I got my bass and tissue. It's go time! -Kalel
